The Extra Step Kyrgyz State Medical University Takes to Go Global

In today’s globalized and competitive world, the very concept of being global and international in character becomes important. In the case of educational institutions (especially those offering MBBS in abroad), this means that just matching your curriculum to international standards isn’t enough; tie-ups and exchanges with international institutions are important as well. The Kyrgyz State Medical University understands this fully well and thus, takes steps in that direction.

Summer Practice in Turkey

One of the tie-ups the Kyrgyz State Medical University has had is with the Erzincan University of Turkey since 2016. Under their agreement, the following activities are carried out.

  • Scientific researches
  • International conferences and seminars
  • Exchanging Scientific Literature Software, and Curriculum
  • Teacher and student (post-graduate, doctoral) exchange
  • Student training (both scientific and personal)
  • Professional Development of teachers
In fact, students enrolled in the KSMU are offered a 1-month internship at the Erzincan University.

Clinical Study in China

Since 2016, the Kyrgyz State Medical University has an agreement with the Gansu University of China under which allows PG education for KSMU students in the latter on “Traditional Chinese Medicine”.

What makes pursuing MBBS in abroad in KSMU more beneficial, is that the university regularly sends around 15 graduates to Gansu for 3 years for the above-mentioned as well as 1 year learning the Chinese language. Students coming here are offered free training as well as accommodation. Additionally, they will have unrestricted access to all kinds of academic resources like libraries and labs as well as sporting and other facilities. Moreover, these students will also receive assistance in visa and medical insurance as well as a “Letter of Invitation”. However, to be eligible: -
  • Students need to have basic understanding of the Chinese language (HSK 1 and 2) a.k.a “language proficiency”
  • They must have a graduation diploma from a recognized higher educational institution a.k.a “academic performance”.All in all, the Kyrgyz State Medical University takes every possible step to ensure that students get adequate exposure to global educational standards and practices.
